Simple. Below we have a generic email that you can use to send to Dan Guerrero, the UCLA Athletic Director who will ultimately choose who our next head coach will be. Feel free to edit the email as you wish and be sure you put your own name at the bottom. Also, if you’re a season ticket holder, be sure to mention that!
Dan Guerrero can be reached at dguerrero@athletics.ucla.edu
Dear Dan Guerrero,
As a UCLA Alum and season ticket holder, I have a vested interest in the success of a UCLA football program that is led by a coach that can turn a program around, recruit the best athletes, and command the respect of his players. DeWayne Walker’s record clearly shows an astonishing improvement of UCLA’s defense as well as a knack for recruiting, as he was even named by Sports Illustrated as the Pac-10 recruiter of the year. He has done this by focusing on fundamentals and demanding excellence, a philosophy similar to that of Mr. Wooden’s. An elite program recruits the best student-athletes and maximizes their potential and Mr. Walker will do just that. He has proven himself by leading the effort in recruiting the number six recruiting class in the country. UCLA hasn’t had a top ten recruiting class since 2002! Finally, and most importantly, our head coach should command the respect of his men. The rapport Coach Walker carries with his team shows the unmatched respect the players hold for him.
I know you’re looking for a head coach with experience, but DeWayne Walker’s ceiling is so high that he should seriously be considered and he’s already done so much, both on and off the field, that this fan will not be dissapointed if you keep Walker on as head coach.
Lastly, I want to emphasize the need to hire a coach with integrity, as you mentioned in your most recent press conference. The biggest and most pertinent difference between UCLA and the program across town is that UCLA has, in all sports, refused to compromise its integrity to win. Whatever coach you select, please keep this message in your heart.
Respectfully,

I strongly support DW. I did my undergrad work at UCLA, medical school, and residency at UCLA. I love the place. Please hire Dwayne Walker.

Thanks for the e-mail link. I made sure to remind the administration to not make the same mistake teams like Miami had previously made in hiring an inexperienced coach.
Larry Coker was a smart guy, but his inexperience virtually buried the program. UCLA cannot make the same mistake twice.
Their alumni deserve better. They need an experienced coach. Look at Dennis Erickson.

All I can say is if I’m Walker, there is no chance in hell I would stay and work under that cheater Rick Neuheisel. No chance. I would say kiss my butt and I’ll see you every yr in Washington or I would go help turn that Miami Hurricanes defense out. Rumor is Randy Shannon is also waiting to see how this thing shakes out, so he can go after Walker. Can you imagine Walker with the athletes on defense the Hurricanes get? wow
